The Clean Energy Regulator registers and regulates Registered Greenhouse and Energy Auditors, much like ASIC regulates Registered Company Auditors for financial markets.
Since 2015 the CER has conducted on-site audit quality inspections to understand and improve audit quality. The results of their recent round of inspection findings have been released. The findings are relevant to all auditors, particularly those in the non-financial assurance space operating under the AUASB-issued ASAEs.
